Wallaroo Coaching Clinic – 14 & 15 March

Junior 8 Ball Coaching Clinic Coming to Wallaroo

The Junior Cue Sports Association of South Australia is excited to announce the expansion of its junior coaching program into regional South Australia, bringing new opportunities to young players outside the Adelaide metropolitan area.

After years of successfully running junior training sessions throughout Adelaide, the Association is now reaching rural communities to ensure more young people discover the sport of Junior 8 Ball.

A free “Come and Try” coaching clinic will be held at the Cornucopia Hotel in Wallaroo on 14th and 15th March 2026 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm each day.

The clinic is open to all juniors aged 5 to 17 years, from complete beginners to more experienced players. All equipment and guidance will be provided, making it the perfect opportunity for young people to learn the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and fun environment.

All coaches involved in the clinic hold current Working With Children Clearances, ensuring a safe and professionally supervised environment for every participant.

Junior pool in South Australia is much bigger than many people realise. The Association has just returned from the recent Australian Junior Nationals hosted in Queensland, where South Australia proudly finished as 2026 Runner-Up Australian Champions.

South Australian juniors have also enjoyed significant success in previous years, winning the Australian Junior Championships in 2020, 2023 and 2024. The Association is committed to continuing this success by developing the next generation of champions.

However, junior pool is about far more than competition. The sport teaches valuable life skills including patience, respect, focus, positive attitude and sportsmanship both on and off the table. It also provides young people with the opportunity to build friendships and confidence in a safe environment.

As a non-contact sport, 8 Ball is an ideal option for children who may not enjoy the physical side of traditional sports. The Association welcomes players of all abilities and backgrounds.

President Chris Jeffery encourages families in regional areas to take advantage of this free opportunity:

“We want every child to have the chance to discover this great sport. Whether they’ve never picked up a cue before or already love the game, we welcome them to come along and give it a go.”

For more information about the clinic or junior programs, families are encouraged to attend on the day and speak with the coaching team. Alternatively, you can phone or text 0433 210 070.
